Kirby Avenue closures to affect traffic Oct. 28-29

CHAMPAIGN — Police are asking that drivers plan for a street closure which will affect traffic along Kirby Avenue near Memorial Stadium on Friday and Saturday in advance of the Fighting Illini homecoming football game. To accommodate equipment setup, westbound lanes of Kirby Avenue between Fourth and First streets will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28. University officials, police ask students to update contact info

URBANA — With a new school year under way, the Office of the Dean of Students and University of Illinois Police Department is asking that students update their local address and emergency contact information in the Enterprise Self-Service system. It is important to keep this information updated as it may be needed to locate students and inform emergency contacts in the event of a potentially life-threatening health or safety emergency. UIPD welcomes three new police officers

URBANA – The University of Illinois Police Department is congratulating two of its newest officers on their graduation Thursday from the University of Illinois Police Training Institute. Officers R. Mia Kaim and Peter Milinkovic completed the 12-week basic law enforcement class and will move into the field training portion of their orientation. They join Officer Kent Jones as the three newest officers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
