Two arrested following threats, armed subject response at Bousfield Hall
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – An Urbana man and a juvenile face preliminary charges following a late-night report of armed subjects at a campus residence hall. Around 11:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, UIPD officers were dispatched to Bousfield Hall, 1214 S. First St., Champaign, following reports of two individuals knocking on doors and threatening residents. Officers promptly arrived on scene and began their investigation. The reporting person told officers that two individuals had entered the building, were acting strangely, knocking on doors and making vague threats about possessing firearms. Early morning armed robbery prompts Illini-Alert notification
CHAMPAIGN, Illinois – An early morning armed robbery in Campustown prompted an Illini-Alert notification. University of Illinois Police officers were dispatched to Taco Bell, 512 E Green St., Champaign, around 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, for reports of an armed robbery. Officers arrived on scene within one minute and learned that a man had allegedly brandished a weapon while attempting to steal food from the restaurant before fleeing the area. URBANA, Illinois – An early-morning altercation prompted an Illini-Alert emergency notification. Around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, University of Illinois Police officers responded to The Canopy Club, 708 S Goodwin Ave, Urbana, to assist the Urbana Police Department with a fight in progress.
